为展示美丽昆山建设成果，积极挖掘对外宣传亮点，搭建对外交流平台，去年以来，我市积极推动外事参观点建设，旨在全方位展示昆山的历史、经贸、产业、生态、文旅等领域风貌，让更多外籍朋友了解昆山、走近昆山、喜爱昆山。这些外事参观点就是一扇扇“城市之窗Window of Kunshan”，作为昆山对外交流的窗口，推动更多昆山元素走向世界。
In order to display the achievements of the building of Beautiful Kunshan, explore the highlights of Kunshan, and build a platform for international exchanges, since last year, Kunshan Foreign Affairs Office has actively promoted the designation of Sites for International Visitors, aiming to comprehensively present Kunshan’s historical and cultural foundation, economic and industrial development, ecological and tourism environment, and let more international friends know about Kunshan, get closer to Kunshan, and love Kunshan. These Designated Sites for International Visitors are Windows of Kunshan, and serve as platforms for Kunshan to go global and carry out international exchanges.
2022年，经过组织申报、初评、现场走访、会议评定等系列流程，结合各点位建设情况、接待能力、展示水平、成熟度以及特色程度，共有8家点位入选为当年度外事参观点。它们分别是：
In 2022, after procedures such as declaration, preliminary evaluation, on-site investigation, and group discussion, and taking into account the site situation, reception capacity, display content, maturity and characteristics of each site, a total of 8 sites were designated as the year’s Sites for International Visitors. 为进一步对外宣传各外事参观点位特色，扩大外事参观点知名度，吸纳更多外籍人士了解点位、充分利用点位资源，昆山外办特别邀请部分外籍人士作为特邀体验官赴各点位进行深度体验，并推出系列Vlog视频，通过外籍人士的视角讲述他们的感受和体验。
今天，让我们走进外事参观点位之一——顾炎武故居。
In order to make more international friends learn about these sites and fully utilize the resources, Kunshan Foreign Affairs Office specially invites some expats working or living in Kunshan to have an in-depth visit of each site. Today, let us walk into one of the Designated Sites for International Visitors, the Former Residence of Gu Yanwu.
顾炎武是中国明末清初思想家、学者，他主张的反对空谈、注重实学的“经世致用”思想，以及强调社会责任感和爱国情怀的“天下兴亡、匹夫有责”这一名言对后世影响很大。顾炎武故居位于江苏省昆山市千灯古镇。整座园子包括众多亭台楼阁和一个大花园。故居的主要建筑，如清厅和明厅，均有数百年历史，具有典型的明清时期官宅风格。
Gu Yanwu is a Chinese thinker and scholar in the late Ming- and early Qing-dynasty. He advocated knowledge “of practical use to society”(jingshi zhiyong), which opposed empty talk and focused on practical learning. The famous saying that “Survival of a Nation is the Responsibility of Every Individual”, which emphasized social responsibility and patriotism, had a great influence on later generations. The Former Residence of Gu Yanwu is located in the ancient town of Qiandeng. It consists of several buildings and a large garden. The main buildings, such as Qing Hall and Ming Hall, were established hundreds years ago and were in a typical style of officials’ house at that time.
顾炎武故居是全国重点文物保护单位。在这里，除了精美的建筑和秀丽的风景，游客还能够体验到更多的中国传统文化元素，如昆曲和扎染。
The residence is one of the Major Historical and Cultural Sites Protected at the National Level. Besides the marvelous architecture and beautiful scenery, more elements of Chinese culture such as Kunqu opera and tie-dye can also be experienced here.

Wear Han Chinese clothing and learn etiquette
(3) Activity content: put on Han Chinese clothing and “travel” to the era of Gu Yanwu. Learn traditional etiquette such as bow and salute in Gu Yanwu’s home, and take photos.
了解顾炎武经世致用的治学理念

（3）活动内容：展示并讲解顾炎武北游期间，虽然居无定所，但始终致力于经史研究，发愤著书，提倡经世致用，开清代朴学之风。
Learn about Gu Yanwu’s academic philosophy of pragmatism

(2) Place: Zhiyong Pavilion
(3) Activity content: Learn about Gu Yanwu’s life when he travels north. Though having no fixed residence, he was always committed to the study of classics and history, wrote books diligently, advocated his philosophy of pragmatism, and opened the style of simple learning in the Qing Dynasty.

“仁爱孝悌，谦和好礼”嗣母王氏断布训子

（3）活动内容：<慈母阁>古有孟母三迁，有岳母刺字，顾炎武也有一位伟大的母亲，我们通过嗣母断布训子的故事了解这位伟大的母亲。

(3) Activity content: Learn about the great mother through the story that she cut off the cloth to educate young Gu Yanwu.
“访明清宅邸，品悠然古韵”

（2）地点：前中后三厅
（3）活动内容：介绍中国古代建筑风格的特色。讲解座次尊卑的相关知识，让参与者代入相关角色，去感受顾炎武那个时代人际交往的座次尊卑和家教礼仪。

(2) Place: front, middle and rear halls
(3) Activity content: Learn the characteristics of ancient Chinese architecture, and the hospitality etiquette in Gu Yanwu’s time.
